Duration: 3 months to start is advised

1. You can stay on the plan at £189 a month as an ongoing SEO plan or just to try out the service for a month. If after 1 month, you don’t wish to continue, you can pause your plan and resume the service when you choose.

2. There are extra costs for certain SEO (local and national) tasks, link building and PR which you can choose to add to your plan.

3. The plan works best at the base price if you keep the plan running for at least 3 to 6 months.

4. The SEO Booster Plan cannot be customised and is a fixed tasks plan that gets done monthly. However, you can add One-Off SEO Services and also extra Content such as blogs or press releases, and more links as per your budget in the Link Prospecting service.

Your SEO Service Starts With Keywords and Fixing Issues

This month is all about getting a clear picture of where your website stands and setting the stage for long-term SEO success albeit small business SEO services or enterprise level SEO. Think of it as laying the groundwork for a house—you need a solid base before you start building walls.

You will gain access to a shared Google document that shows your ranking changes month to month, link acquisition (when you start this in Month 3) and also the tasks for the month ahead as per below. 

If using WordPress, I will check what plugins you use for SEO and make suggestions. For example, Rank Math SEO is very good for quickly adding META data and optimising content.

4 hours in Month 1 covers these on-page SEO tasks:

  • Keyword Research:

    This stage identifies high-value keywords that your ideal customers are searching for, that connect with your products or services. For your top 5 landing pages, I will dig for the best target search terms for those pages. This will also uncover if pages need more keywords added, and if extra pages are needed from the start of Month 2 such as location focused pages needed for better local SEO optimisation.

    Result: 
     A clear outline of user intent, what search terms will improve SEO rankings and traffic.

  • On-Page SEO Optimisation | Website Analysis:

    A deep dive into your site’s performance with a clear, easy-to-understand summary of what’s working and what’s not. I require access to your CMS. Sorry, this service does not include work on Shrupal, Drupal or proprietary CMS software. Most preferred CMS is WordPress, Shopify or Magento. 

    At this stage, you can provide shared access to your Google Analytics GA4, Google Search Console GSC, and Google Business Profile. However, this is not essential in the first month. I will check your GBP page to see if it’s optimised well e.g. correct NAP data, competing on keywords with higher ranking local competitors. The end of month report will include this data.

    This goes beyond the initial free SEO audit which is an overall look at sitewide top errors.

    Okay, so you have an audit that shows the top issues. Now, it’s time to drill further into many further aspects that must be fixed on those 5 pages. This task will look at:
    Page load times, 
    broken links, missing/duplicate metadata like descriptions and TITLEs, duplicate content issues, missing H1 tags, Sitemap issue check, 4XX errors, Missing ALT text, broken internal links, non-descriptive anchor text, URLs with a permanent redirect, pages with one incoming internal link, missing Schema data (easy plugins for WordPress), and more SEO checks.

    So we will have looked for missing or duplicate META descriptions and TITLEs. Great! Must be tackled as this controls how your pages look in Google search results (SERPs) and in the AI Overview at the top of the Google page. Next, optimising the page titles and meta descriptions on your chosen 5 pages to align with recommended search terms from our keyword research.

    For each page, the task looks at and implements how to get the page ranking better for its target keyword. So, we’ll choose 5 pages that need SEO the most. You can choose 5 more pages again in Month 2.

    This selection usually starts with your top landing pages for your services, not category pages yet, your main pages and entry points to your site e.g. Homepage, Products, Services, About, FAQs, Promos, Contact page. Choose the 5 we recommend during your phone or email consultation.

    Result: Better optimised landing pages for better rankings on Google. 

  • Google Business Optimisation:

    This task will tidy up and post relevant content to your Google Business profile to build your profile’s ability to give you the edge in local search results. This includes verifying all info, adding photos, updating the profile with one of your latest posts such as a new product or latest blog post, and checking reviews.

    Result: An optimised Google Business Profile boosts local visibility, traffic, and credibility. It helps push your profile into the Google map pack results at the top of Google pages.

Now that the groundwork is done, we’ll move on to improving key pages and focusing on content that gets your site noticed.

4 hours in Month 2 covers these on-page SEO tasks:

  • SEO Optimisation Checks:

    A monthly check-up (and tweaks where necessary) to meta data across the site, ensuring everything stays sharp and aligned with the strategy. This will continue the SEO work started in Month 1 (see list of tasks above) and look for more SEO issues affecting the page rankings on up to 5 more pages.

    A thorough review and optimisation of your next choices for 5 more landing pages to be optimised. I will help you choose the better pages to get optimised so that by end of Month 2, at least 10 of your landing pages really needing work have been fixed. These are usually Home, About, Services, Products, Contact in Month 1 to ensure they’re driving traffic and converting visitors. Here, in Month 2, we continue to look at what changes are needed page to page. You can choose the 5 extra pages at the start of the order too. This builds on Month 1 with a thorough look at what changes are needed and fixing SEO issues on key landing pages.

    This will look deeper into issues that are affecting how well those pages rank on Google, get found in AI overviews, appear in local map packs and how visitors are finding your site. The data analysed includes Keyword Difficulty, Competition, Trends, Low Content, Page Errors, META data and more.

    Again, for each page, optimisation will look at how to get the page ranked better for its focus keyword.

  • Competitor Analysis:

    Want to reach the top of the SERP? Start with learning what works best for your competitors. We’ll compare your keyword profile with your competition.

    Let’s see what your competitors are doing—and find ways to outshine them. We’ll dig into their SEO strengths and weaknesses to uncover opportunities for your business. This includes how their landing pages touch prospect interests, highest performing keywords and which ones are weak, what can your content exploit where keywords are concerned, the strength of their backlinks and what sources. This is an overall analysis of any competitors ranking higher to discover why.

    This includes looking at gaps e.g. what useful keywords are you losing out on to competitors. And then looking at what pages need optimising for those keywords OR do we need to create new pages which is the next task.

  • Landing Pages and New Pages:

    Here, new pages are created if required to target keywords missing from your website landing pages e.g. location pages, industry focused pages. Often, it’s not enough to have only one page or two that uses your location keywords e.g. web designer Cardiff, lawyer in Carmarthen, etc. It may be a need to create dedicated pages for those local search terms for best rankings.

    This task looks at how more traffic can be found with a ready-made keyword strategy, complete with pillar pages and subpages to structure your website. I will suggest what new pages are needed, if any, and why. You can then approve or reject the new pages suggested. If after optimising current pages, top keywords still struggle to rank well, there are two aspects looked at. 

    1. Your site may need extra landing pages that are focused on the keywords that struggle. This would be a dedicated page with content that informs and focuses on the keyword that your site is struggling to rank for.
    2. A blog post that focuses on the keyword and shares useful information to your visitors will be suggested. 

    A backlink audit will be done to see if you have too many toxic links to your site pages and if your site is lacking authority inbound links.

By now, your site should be gaining traction. This month is about amplifying that growth through backlinks, outreach, and creating new opportunities for visitors to find you. Many services are included in your monthly fee though to take advantage of building more content and links, a recommended budget is from £500 per month.

  • Citations Selection in Business Directories:

    We’ll get your business listed in the top local directories, boosting your credibility and making it easier for customers to find you online. This checks where your current business directory profiles are placed and what missing directories would improve your site’s ability to get into the local map pack. The map pack is what you see at the top of Google pages with a map of the area and the top 3 selections for that area e.g. accountant in Bristol. Here a check will be made to see your current map pack positions for the top local search terms we found in Month 1. Any further optimisation of your GBP profile will go ahead. For the best directories where your business is not listed, the work starts to get your business NAP information onto those sites like Yelp, Yell, etc.

  • Link Prospecting (Outreach):

    This step involves reaching out to blogs, local websites, and industry leaders for backlink opportunities. Backlinks build trust with search engines and help your site climb the rankings. For guest posts or sponsored posts, there are extra fees charged by the webmasters. I will show you details of sites and prices for guest post links and niche edit link insertions. You can take a look at the current list of sites here. If you want to use my service, the fee per site is shown for getting your content posted on the sites. You can choose to go direct and save on extra fees if you want to reach out to the bloggers directly. The outreach work to find prospects for building links on high authority sites is part of this month’s service.

  • Writing of Guest Posts:

    Drafting guest posts tailored to local blogs and industry-specific websites. Guest posts help showcase expertise while earning valuable backlinks. When you order links on sites you choose in a shared document, the price of a link includes a guest post. 

  • In-Content Links (Niche Edits)

    If you have useful content on you site, this process will look for sites where their page will benefit from adding a link to your site. This could be a blog post that relates to the prospect’s page e.g. a blog post on a site about green energy could use a useful link that talks further about the pros of heat pumps and moving to renewable sources. This is a powerful way to piggy back off already high ranking and traffic posts.

  • Digital PR:
