About this role:

The Proposal Writer will develop Requests for Information (RFI) and Proposals (RFP). In this role, they will write proposals to assist the sales team in illustrating the SmithRx value proposition to potential clients, consultants, and benefit brokers. The Proposal Writer will interface with internal teams across the organization (Sales, Analytics, Clinical, Legal, Account Management, etc.) to gain an in-depth understanding of SmithRx to accurately represent services. This role will oversee building and maintaining a repository of responses and questionnaires. In the RFP off-season, the Proposal Writer will cross-train and contribute to other areas of SmithRx that are in need, such as implementation or contracting.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the RFI and RFP process, serving as central point of contact for coordinating and combining proposal drafts from all contributors
  • Assist sales teams by writing and editing proposals to illustrate the company’s value proposition
  • Communicate clearly to Sales when RFP materials are ready for submission and provide links to all submission materials with carefully crafted emails
  • Collaborate with the Strategy, Revenue, and Sales teams to gather track down responses to RFP questions that aren’t readily available
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to prepare proposals and meet deadlines
  • Review, edit, and rewrite proposal drafts to produce a final product with a consistent voice
  • Catalog and store responses to facilitate efficiency
  • Track and manage sales deliverables status in Salesforce
  • Cross-train and contribute to other areas of SmithRx in the RFP off-season (typically October – December) such as implementation, contracting, or other areas as needed

What you will bring to SmithRx:

  • 5+ years of RFI/RFP experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Experience in PBM, software, employee benefits, healthcare industries is a plus
  • Experience utilizing RFP management tools such as Ringmaster, Proposal Tech, TrueBid
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Clear and concise writing skills
  • Experience with Excel, Salesforce and Adobe
  • Ability to multitask across several work streams, and to work independently to manage tasks and projects to meet firm deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate constructively and positively with teammates and partners, even under the stress of a fast-paced business environment
  • You are low ego and have a knack for working well with a wide range of people
